Terms and Conditions

These consultation terms govern the educational support services provided by The SENCO. By booking a consultation or engaging in our SEN consultancy services, you agree to the following terms.

Services

The SENCO offers specialized Special Educational Needs (SEN) consultancy services to families, focusing on providing effective educational support. All services are advisory in nature, grounded in professional expertise and the information shared during the consultation terms. It is important to note that these services do not replace formal assessments, diagnoses, or decisions made by schools, local authorities, or other professionals.

Nature of Service

Guidance and recommendations are provided with care, professionalism, and expertise through our SEN consultancy services. However, all advice is intended as guidance only, as the effectiveness may vary depending on individual circumstances. We encourage clients to review the consultation terms to understand the scope of the educational support offered.

Bookings and Payment

All consultations and services, including our SEN consultancy services, must be booked in advance to adhere to our consultation terms. Payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed. Bookings are confirmed once payment has been received, ensuring you receive the educational support you need.

Cancellations and Rescheduling

Appointments are reserved exclusively for each client under our consultation terms. If you need to cancel or reschedule, a minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required. Appointments cancelled with at least 24 hours’ notice may be rescheduled or refunded, ensuring that our educational support services can be provided to other families. However, appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice are not eligible for a refund. This policy helps us manage our SEN consultancy services effectively. In exceptional circumstances, discretion may be applied.

Consultation Sessions

Consultations for our SEN consultancy services are offered either online or in person, based on the consultation terms agreed upon at the time of booking. It is the client's responsibility to ensure their availability at the scheduled time, as late arrival may lead to a shortened session, impacting the educational support provided.

Confidentiality

All information shared during consultations, in line with our consultation terms, is treated as confidential and handled with care. This applies to our educational support services and SEN consultancy services as well. Information will not be shared with third parties without consent, unless required by law or where there is a safeguarding concern.

Client Responsibility

Clients are responsible for providing accurate and relevant information to support the consultation terms and enhance the consultation process, particularly in the context of educational support and SEN consultancy services.

Outcomes and Implentation

The recommendations provided by The SENCO are intended as guidance only, in accordance with our consultation terms. The implementation of any advice, strategies, or recommendations falls under the responsibility of the client and/or the child’s educational setting. The SENCO is not responsible for the outcomes of any actions taken following a consultation regarding educational support. While all advice is delivered with professional care and expertise as part of our SEN consultancy services, no guarantees can be made regarding specific outcomes or progress.

EHCPs and School Processes

Support may be provided in relation to EHCPs, ISPs, and school-based provision as part of our educational support initiatives. However, the SENCO cannot guarantee specific outcomes or decisions made by schools or local authorities, as outlined in the consultation terms of our SEN consultancy services.

Professional Responsibility

The SENCO is not responsible for decisions made or actions taken based on the advice provided in the consultation terms of the educational support and SEN consultancy services.

Limitation of Liability

All services, including our SEN consultancy services, are delivered with professional care and expertise. However, The SENCO accepts no liability for any loss, outcomes, or decisions made as a result of the advice provided under our consultation terms regarding educational support.

Changes to Service

The SENCO reserves the right to update or modify the consultation terms, services, and these Terms & Conditions at any time. Any changes regarding our educational support and SEN consultancy services will be reflected on this page.
